7 Ways To Prevent Zits
Zits and pimples are pretty common, especially in adolescents, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to avoid them. The following seven tips will help to prevent or at least minimize the chance of zits and pimples.
1. Don’t over-clean your skin. You shouldn’t need to wash more than twice a day. Any more than that can aggravate your skin and lead to zits. If your skin is dry, use a moisturizing cleanser.
2. Don’t wear makeup to bed. Remove your makeup and then wash and moisturize your face before going to bed.
3. Drink plenty of water. This will help to keep your skin hydrated as well as help to flush toxins out of your body which can help to minimize acne problems.
4. Stop touching your face. Most of the time, your hands are covered with germs and bacteria. Touching your face can transfer them from your hands, and lead to clogged pores and more zits.
5. Keep your hair away from your face. Hair can be oily and dirty (even if it doesn’t appear to be) and it can transfer these oils and dirt to your skin. Try to keep your hair pulled back at night as well, to avoid having your hair touching your face while you sleep.

6. Change your pillowcase regularly. Bacteria and skin cells can build up on your pillowcase and get transferred to your skin while you sleep. Keeping your pillowcase clean can make a difference to your acne.
7. Your diet can play a part. While there is some doubt about whether specific foods can actually trigger zits and pimples, eating poorly can affect your body’s ability to rid itself of toxins. A good diet will help your body fight the toxins and bacteria that can lead to acne.

the best way is to not touch your face and wash your face regularly. or you can try proavtive it worked for me now no pimples.
Get a face lotion or wash that prevents pimples, I reccomend No-Oil Neutrogena Face Wash. Its orange….its works quite well for fixing your acne problem and preventing breakouts. Good luck.
Use a cleasnsing product for oily skin. If you can get a medicated gel for blemishes it would help. Being scrupulously clean is the most important thing.
keep your face as clean as possible and make sure you always moisterise because when you get rid of the GOOD oils, your face makes more oil to replace it and then, vwala!- Pimples!
So use a good face lotion.
That happened to me too. Now I wash my face twice a day, and since my skin gets dry, I use lotion with acne meds in it. I also try not to touch my face and I use hand sanitizer before I put on make up. It seems to have helped a little.
I just remembered I learned in a dermatology lecture that for the acne soaps to work, you have to leave them on your face about a minute before washing them off. Otherwise they are just like regular soap.
try to avoid greasy foods. drink plenty of water, go in the sun and tan your face a little (not excessively), avoid touching your face with your hands (because of bacteria), wash your face with a non-oil based face wash (st.ives apricot scrub works great!). Good luck!
well theres proactive…but if its not that bad dont buy that.
I use acne free stress, its buy neutrgeona…i think thats wat its called. Also invisible acne treatment by clean and clear. it helped alot
stress, fatty/oily foods and other natural causes could be the culprits.
you can control what you eat and kind of control your stress levels, but if its some other kind of natural thing, there may not be a lot you can do. a dermatologists could really help.
Use a facial clenser every night in the shower then use a non- oil based face cream once a day preferably after your shower. Ask your local pharmacist about which are best for u. If its really a problem try proactive a little pricey though.
Wash your face day and night,(use non alcoholic cleaner), Don’t touch your face!!!!!!!!! the oil from your body clogs your pores, Change your makeup as well it might me that or food that you eat. Drink lots of water it hydrates your skin.
First of all you shouldnt be grossed out by them…its natural. Second of all I wash my face 2 times a day, once after I wake up and once in the evening…not neccessarily before bed just sometime in the evening…Its worked for me. Also ive used toothpaste on random pimples that i wake up with. I put it on in the morning when i notice it and by afternoon it comes to a head…you shouldnt pop them but i get whats already coming out, out! Good luck!
yeah keeping fit is the best way. lots of exercise, not being 15,16 or 17 and keeping your face clean.
also less fatty foods and if you do fry food ect wash your hands before you touch your face.
toothpaste apparently works too tho if you put a small blob on overnight and so does rubbing urine on to it apparently.
bedt thing is probably just clearasil tho or something like that.
well, some of it is going to happen anyway, it’s a teenage thing.
but to help lessen breakouts, keep your skin clean and moisturized. don’t try to overclean it, you’ll only aggrevate the oil glands and/or dry out your skin.
avoiding chocolate and food containing caffine, like pop and spicy food MAY help.
keeping your hair off your face, MAY help.
whatever you do, do not, i repeat, do not squeeze, or try to break them, you will have scars, and scars never go away.
use a good acne medication, according to directions. i use benzagel. clearisil is crap, don’t try it.
if your condition worses, go to the dr’s. they have prescripiton strength stuff you can try.
and whatever you do, don’t stress over it, everyone gets them.
If your mom/dad has or had pimples it could be genetic. If it’s genetic, go to a dermatologist and the will prescribe medication for it. If mom/dad don’t have pimples..Get proactiv or go to your local store and get Loreal Acne Response.
Sometimes people use birth control to clear their skin. Like Yaz…its a birth control that helps clear your skin.
Get some thing that cleanses your face, but isn’t soap based. Wash your face in hot water, rub the stuff in, rinse with hot water, then rinse with cold water.
Don’t scratch your face or things like that a lot either. Most spots are caused by the pores being open and dirt/bacteria getting into them when you touch your face in the same place a lot
You can use acne treatment products like proactive you could also use a mask so help your pores. AlsoThe best way to approach acne treatment is the safe way without drugs. Use Dove soap, and lots of it. When your skin is greasy, it becomes red. When it’s dry, it becomes normal. Dove soap and rubbing alcohol dry it up nicely, and make the acne away. But, try to stay away from alcohol though, it’s cytotoxic. Also, try to stay away from over-the-counter ointments, or atleast some, because they are very bad for your skin.
