Acne, also known as Acne Vulgarisis is a disease of the hair follicles of the face, back, chest that affects males and females especially during adolescence. Acne sometimes continue into adulthood and some people have it so severe to the point where they refuse to even venture out into the public because of how they look. Causes of acne
Rising Hormone Levels- The hormones called androgens which is the male sex hormones increase in both boys and girls during puberty and will cause the sebaceous glands to enlarge and make more sebum.
Heredity and genetics also help to contribute to acne in some people. Research has shown that acne can be inherited from parents.
Food is also another factor. Foods such as chocolate, greasy and fried foods, junk food and other unhealthy food source can contribute to acne. Other factors that can contribute to the break out and flare up of acne include changing hormone levels in girls and women before the start of the menstrual period. The use of certain birth controls by women can also cause acne. Stress is also a contributing factor for acne as well.

How can acne be prevented.
There are several ways that you can prevent the breakout of acne.
Avoid wearing makeup- You should never leave makeup products on your skin which only helps to clog the pores causing the breakouts of more blackheads and pimples. Therefore it is best to use water based makeup.
Keep the hair off the face. Be sure that long hair and bangs are not constantly on the face as this helps to breakout acne more.
Wash your pillow cases on a regular basis. Remember your face is always laying on the pillow which absorbs a lot of dirt and oil and contributes to further breakouts of acne. Therefore keep pillows and sheets clean.
Do not aggravate the pimples and blackheads in your face by squeezing them. This will only spread dirt from the fingers to the skin and also damage membrane beneath the skin which can lead to infections.
Avoid using moisturizers on acne-prone areas in order to get rid of pimples. If and when you do use a moisturizers ensure it is acnegenic.
That’s not all there is though. Take a look at this.

What gets rid of your acne really fast?? + what causes acne and how to prevent it?
I have been told toothpaste gets rid of acne.Acne starts from eating to much sugar and keeping your hands on your face.Jessica Simpson use ProActive every morning and evening. Many stars use it for acne.drink alot of water, it helps your skin.I use “Acne Free”. It’s like the proactive system but it’s a lot cheaper, and it claims to be better because it’s time released all day (proactive isn’t). You can get it at drugstores and wal-marts. Your skin is a reflection of your health, so acne can be caused by what you eat (greasy foods, sugars, too much fats). So try eating lots of fresh veggies and fruits. It can also be caused by your hormones or stress. Touching your face is never good, and oily makeups are a poison for healthy skin.Acne is not shown to be caused by too much sugar. Acne is the result of pores being clogged by dirt, oil and bacteria. Some people/ skin types seem to be more susceptible. I STILL get a couple around that time of the month and I am 34!…maybe hormones trigger an increase in oil production??Proactiv really worked for me. But you better use it constantly instead of stopping for a while or else your skin gets used to it and you will have to go for a stronger solution. To prevent more acne, wash your face with warm water each night and make sure you don’t touch your face a lot with your hands <– that’s really bad, no matter if it’s dirty or not. Just don’t touch it.Drinking lots of water and eating fruits and veggies help.
thats true my dermatologist explained to me that acne vugaris is the most severe form of acne.
This lady knows nothing… Acne Vulgaris is the worst of its kind. Talk and talk and promote your usless products that do not work…
@lynxvex For me, any form of dairy causes a breakout whether its a small portion or large. It’s some form of sensitivity to the protein or hormones in the dairy that causes the skin to react to it in the form of redness and acne. I now drink almond milk and only use oil based butter. Avoid anything that is derived from milk (creams, whey, casein, and yes ice cream).
