The Ancient Secrets of Japanese Skincare Revealed
thesecretsofbeautifulskin.com Japanese skincare and general health secrets are highly sought after. At 81.25 years, (86 for women, 79 for men) Japan has one of the highest life expectancy rates in the world. Nearly 20% of the population of Japan is over the age of 65. Worldwide, the average lifespan is 66. But according to the World Health Organization reports, Japanese people can expect to live 75 or more years, free of disease and disability. So, what are they doing right? Diet is obviously one important factor. They have the lowest rate of obesity of any industrialized country. Only 3% are obese, as opposed to 32% of all Americans. Some of their preferred foods are also Japanese skincare secrets. Referred to as a “beauty preserver”, Wakame kelp is one of those foods. It’s a kind of seaweed that is cultivated in Japan, Korea and now France. Studies at Hokkaido University have shown that eating the kelp helps burn fatty tissue. In traditional Oriental medicine, it was used to purify the blood and strengthen the intestines, as well as the skin and hair. Wakame is one of the best vegetarian sources of calcium. It is also rich in sodium, iron, potassium and the B vitamins. The B vitamins naturally reduce inflammation. While all of these things are great, the most important role that this Japanese skincare formula plays has to do with its anti-aging activity. As we get older, the levels of hyaluronic acid in our skin becomes lower and lower. You’ll see many products on the …

Keeping Young-looking Skin With Vitamin C
Everyone, even the youngest children, know that Vitamin C is good for you even if they don’t know why. If fact, many natural sources of Vitamin C such as citrus juices are even enriched with it. One of its great benefits is that it serves as an antioxidant and since the damage caused by free radicals to the skin is so severe it has kept this vitamin in the news. It has now been found that it works well as a topical treatment as well as a dietary supplement because it not only inhibits free radicals but also provides UV protection. These latest developments have many people wondering just which product they should choose, how it should, and how it should be applied. Given the nature of vitamins these are fair and important questions to ask because not knowing the correct answer can cause more damage than they cause good.
The best place to start learning about which product you should choose really starts before you even see the ointment or cream in the store. That means noticing how it is shipped. Vitamins, like produce, have a shelf life and need to be stored and shipped correctly. In the case of Vitamin C that means it needs to be shipped in an air-tight container that does not let light in. If either of these things happen, the Vitamin C starts to break down. Using products that have broken down can result in damaging your largest organ, your skin.
Next, you need to notice the form of the Vitamin C. It comes as either L-ascorbic acid or as Sodium ascorbyl phosphate. While both of these are Vitamin C, they are not equal. Studies have shown that L-ascorbic acid is the less stable of the two. These means it is more prone to breaking down. When this happens you lose its UV protection as well as its ability to work as an antioxidant. This means it is now aiding in the exchange of free radicals. It is this exchange that causes wrinkles and other signs of aging. L-ascorbic acid is also more likely to cause skin irritation.
The final thing you need to consider when in the market and try to choose the best cream or ointment is what else is in it. As you can guess Vitamin C will not be the only ingredient it has so you should be noticing the others. It is your skin, out for everyone to see, so you want to make sure that it contains only the best. Choose creams that use natural ingredients. You will also want to find one that contains ingredients that work in concert with Vitamin C. These can include Vitamin E and Ferulic acid. Both of these can compound the good things that Vitamin C can do for your skin and should be included in the cream you choose.
These simple guidelines should help clear up the mystery around the topical use of Vitamin C and help you make the right choice in products. It Is, after all, for your skin.

@AmbreEyes1 What kind of sea vegetables? and where do you get them from?
Actually I am also japanese and I have very fair skin that is super clear. What’s my secret? Just use a good quality soap with moisturizer and water
@kamela92 okay? so what if it’s yellow? I could care less if it’s black, red, brown or green skin. I’m talking about how their skin glows and is so soft and beautiful looking, not the color. I am Asian and I love having yellow skin, I don’t even see anything wrong with that. Just like people with white, tan, or brown skin. They are all beautiful to me. Are you trying to be racist? Because I hope not.
@RareJadeForest06 maybe but its yellow..
I’ve just started eating sea vegetables like Wakame, Kelp, Hjiki, Dulse, Kombu, ect. They are all seaweeds but are rich in vitamins and minerals. You can find them at your local health food stores or asian supermarkets! I have noticed my skin looks better but im doing other things too. Im starting a probiotic, vitamin and mineral rich diet called “The Body Ecology Diet” founded by Donna Gates! I officially start in two days but have been implimenting these foods into my diet. Look this stuff up
@AmbreEyes1– i live in london and ive alwaysed wonder how japanese people have such clearn smooth skin my ex was japanese and her skin was amazing she looked atleast 5 years younger then what she was.. when i moisturize i make sure theres lil or no chemicle… avon works well on my skin.. im going to start eating seaweeds but sushi im going to say no to lol…
@british123able After you make green tea and let it cool down, dip a cotton pad into the tea and apply over face as a toner! It’s great for skin care too!
Any time you make soup, rice and stirfrys you should add sea weed! It’s in every supermarket isle and it’s cheap. Put one piece of sea weed paper in warm (Cut paper into strips or crumble it up) water until it’s soft then add it to food! It’s so good for you and you can even add it to water until it’s soft and rub over skin as a face mask…it’s great!
@nynafrank
Sorry for delay.
Well, it depends on a condition of skin, if it was caused by pimples and freckles,they must be better.Sea weed has a lot of fibers and minerals from sea so it helps to clean your skin from inside of your body. We Japanese believe that we change our skin from inside of our bodies by foods.
Youtube has so many pages its crazy! Thought I would say hey after viewing your page.
@AmbreEyes1 but when you have blemished skin…
