Pimples – Causes and Symptoms of Pimples

Pimples are basically a skin disease typical to youth, but it may occur to the people at any age. If a pore gets clogged but stays open, the top may darken and you’ve got a blackhead. A pimple happens when dead skin and bacteria work their way under live skin. This leads to a small infection that makes your skin look red.

Pimples relate the term acne which is used to describe whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples. (You may well recognize slang terms like spots, or zits). Most teenagers get the type of acne called acne vulgaris, which can show up on the face, neck, shoulders, back, and chest. Skin pores contain oil glands which naturally lubricate your skin and hair. But sometimes if a pore gets clogged beneath the skin with excess oil and bacteria, the dreaded acne is caused. Whiteheads happen when a pore gets clogged, closes, and then bulges out.

We have provided you here all symptoms, causes and treatment methods of Pimples.

Symptoms of pimples

There are two main types of acne: non-inflammatory and inflammatory.

In non-inflammatory acne, there are usually just a few whiteheads and blackheads on the face. A relatively mild type of acne, it can often be treated effectively with nonprescription medicines. The majority of people with acne have this type of acne.

With inflammatory acne, the whiteheads become inflamed and red pimples and pustules develop. In its most severe form, inflammatory acne can cause disfiguring cysts and deep, pitting scars of the face, neck, back, chest and groin. Prescription drugs and sometimes surgery are needed to treat inflammatory acne.

Causes of Pimples

The causes of pimples are as follows:

· Mainly pimples are caused by the over activity of the sebaceous glands that secrete oily substances onto the skin.

· Natural hormones reactions

· Plugged skin. Lots of skin cells can close the oil glands or pores, creating blackheads or whiteheads, (as mentioned earlier).

· Bacteria. Bacteria can easily infect oil glands and pores and grow very quickly.

· Family background and hereditary

· Pimples happens when oil (sebaceous) glands come to life around puberty stimulated by male hormones from the adrenal glands of both boys and girls

· The skin below and around the follicles are constantly shedding and growing new skin. These dead skin cells can become excessive and clog up the pores. Contributing to this may be the overproduction of sebum, clogging the pores even more. Once the pores become clogged bacteria form causing a lesion or pimple.

· Papules or pustules are what people usually call pimples. These are raised red bumps because the clogged pores have become infected. The bacteria also cause swelling and bulging. If the pimple is filled with pus it is called a pustule. The pus can become yellow with infection.

Treatment of Pimples

Methods for Treating Pimples are:

Topical application (applied to the skin) of the following products can help or clear pimples:

1. Metronidazole – present in Noritate, or Metro-cream, gel or lotion

2. Clindamycin – present in Cleocin T lotion

3. Erythromycin – present in Benzamycin gel (with Benzoyl Peroxide)

4. Azelaic Acid – present in Azelex cream

Oral antibiotics, such as the following, can also help or clear pimples:

1. Tetracycline

2. Minocycline – such as Dynacin or Minocin

3. Erythromycin

what foods cause pimples ? what foods do the opposite ?
Silly silly little boy, foods dont cause pimples, chocolate does not cause pimples, NO FOOD can cause pimples. unless you rub vegetable oil on your face. It’s not so much about what kind of food you eat. It’s most likely hormones, geneticss and lifestyle. Depending on your age alot of kids in in Jr and high school go through the pimple phase. If you into sport like football, your sweating, your dirty and it’s all getting pushed into your face with a helmet. Also working in fast food place aroundfryerss and grease then rubbing your face doesn’t help either. If it is really bothering you go to a dermatologist to find out what kind of acne you have. There several types and they can give you a better idea how to handle it. I would say only using alcohol as a spot treatment on a whitehead. Don’t go washing your face with it. Not only does it burn like hell it could make things worse. Oh yea, replace drinking soda with water. Help keeping your system clean can help keeping your face clean.

  9. tedoymisojos says:

I have a question, when the pimples have a head that looks like its just going to burst through the skin isnt it better to help it out with a needle and gentle pressure? WIll it just go away by itself? And if it does, how does it do that? Im thinking that my exfoliation will eventually break the skin over it and the stuff will be able to go out, but that would be the same as me breaking a bit of the skin with a needle? Am I wrong?

  10. Dive186 says:

@jimmammij its true. its almost virtually imposissle for those in the yesteryears to of had had acne because they only had natural foods and products back then.

  24. acneerasingsecrets says:

@jimmammij Maybe I should have said like 500 years ago, it was definitely more rare if it was around 100 years ago! Watch my videos, I think they will help you.

  25. jimmammij says:

a lot of inacurrate info there.. especially where you say people didnt have spots 100 years ago, yes they did! iv seen old tinktures and recipes for acne at least 100 years old in museums.(u cant just guess that they didnt.. and broadcast that to thousands, ) and back then it wasnt a healthy diet, unless u were rich, and i dont consume sugar or dairy anyway, and iv been unable to shake off acne for 15 years, the only thing that has worked is isotretenoin/roacuttane. but at a horrible cost.

  26. acneerasingsecrets says:

@klretz1 I already have clear skin! but thanks :)

  27. klretz1 says:

    try these

  28. acneerasingsecrets says:

@TheJoyOfGaming Reducing sugar will definitely help, some people it helps more than others but it will definitely help everyone by reducing or completely eliminating sugar. I recommend watching the “drinking water to clear skin” video that I made and make sure to stay hydrated as well as eat healthy vegetables and fruits during that time in your diet too because this gives your skin the nutrition it needs to be healthy and clear.

  29. TheJoyOfGaming says:

ok…. Say i go on a complete sugar free diet for a month. Will ym acne be gone or atleast prevent more from occuring? lol and the white stuff from when u pop a zit are white dead bloodcells. The reason they are there in such concentrate is cus they are what fight bacteria in your body :)

  30. DaBloodBitz says:

    @acneerasingsecrets ya saves money

  31. acneerasingsecrets says:

@DaBloodBitz So you buy local free range organic. That’s cool.

  32. DaBloodBitz says:

@acneerasingsecrets were I live at the they don’t use hormones

  33. acneerasingsecrets says:

@DaBloodBitz How do you know that the milk you are drinking is hormone free?

  34. DaBloodBitz says:

@acneerasingsecrets does milk cause acne. I don’t drink milk with growth hormones so I assume It shouldn’t really do anything.

  35. jimmysharp123 says:

@acneerasingsecrets i just started changing my diet and im gonna start eating for breakfast raisin bran crunch with a fruit or vegetable and some green tea. then for lunch i’ll probably have two sandwiches with wheat, ham, and pepperjack cheese with a fruit or vegetable. and for dinner im not sure. do you have any tips on dinner and other foods i could be eating because i watched you videos but there still remains a vague areas.

  36. acneerasingsecrets says:

@jimmysharp123 Water, Seriously… Just drink water. Purified, Ionized or spring water is best… Better than tap water. If you replace pepsi with water you not only improve your health and skin but you save a lot of money too.

  37. jimmysharp123 says:

Hey man, i drink about a 32 ounce pepsi every day, what can i do as an alternative
