Most women are unsure what type of skin they are. How can you tell? First, ask yourself if you have any oiliness, dryness, or signs of aging. If you are oily all over, you are an oily skin. If you are oily in the T zone and dry on the cheeks, you are probably a combination skin. If you are moderately to extremely dry on the cheeks you are a dry skin. If you have signs of aging, more than likely you have a dry skin.

Once or twice a week you should incorparate a dedicated exfoliator into your regime. These work by sloughing off the top layer of (mainly dead) skin cells and encourage cell renewal. This will brighten up the complexion considerably making it feel very smooth.

Astringent : A clear liquid that lifts off that last layer of dirt from the skin, tightens the pores and neutralizes excess oil; to be used after cleansing, before applying the moisturizer. It usually contains alcohol which helps clean the skin and inhibits the growth of bacteria. It can also be used throughout the day to counteract any buildup of oil on the skin. A toner, used for the same purpose, does not contain alcohol. You can use either.

Toning is essential for removing the dirt, make-up and oil that cleansers fail to remove. Some people take this step as optional. But people with oily skin and combination skin can greatly benefit from toning. Because it acts as an extra step to eliminate oil, it also lessens the chances for pore blockage leading to acne.

A piece of cotton should be used with astringent lotions.

lol what is she actually concealing at 0:54 !! These tutorials are really quite pointless they are not doing any favours to the make up artist or make up brand. From a consumer point of view, what makes me want to buy a product such as a concealer/ foundation is whether or not I see an actual improvement of the complexion upon use and sadly this video is not doing the Mark brand any favours.
