How to Make Dusky Skin of bride looks Beautiful

Dusky skin can be defined as dark skin, or any skin tone darker than medium beige. A dark skin is more resilient than fair skins.

Due to more pigment, it can withstand exposure to the sun much better. It is basically hardier. What bears repetition is that any skin which is healthy and clear can look beautiful. With a flawless and healthy skin, the dark skinned girl can replace the Indian fascination for “fair” skin with the idea that “brown is beautiful”.

The following information serves as a general guide to caring for and beautifying dusky skin. Keep in mind that every skin tones are different; therefore, you need to exhibit some creativity in choosing makeup, skin-care products to beautify your dusky skin tone.

Before applying make up to your skin, Cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin, then apply the concealer, foundation, and the powder to create a smooth base – you can then apply choose a suitable color for a blush followed by eye makeup and lipstick to complete the task.

Understand the coloring of your skin tone:

Light: If you have an ivory or porcelain complexion, then your skin tone is Light.

Light-Medium: If you have a rose beige, light olive, or ash brown complexion, then your skin tone is Light-Medium.

Medium-Dark: If you have a yellow-beige, medium olive or rose-brown skin, then your skin tone is Medium-Dark.

Dark: If you have a dark olive, bronze, rich beige or black complexion, then your skin tone is Dark.

Make Up Tips

Women who are dusky should be aware of some make up tricks. All you dusky beauties out there can enhance your rich skin tone by applying some light make up. The makeup that you select should have warm tones of color. You need to choose colors such as maroon, terracotta, browns, and similar shades to look gorgeous. Stay away from natural and nude shades since they will not look good.

You should not use make up in the gel form or any kind of lip gloss. While using blushers, eye shadows and lip colors, choose the colors that compliment your skin. In this way you will look very attractive. Nowadays, people are so enticed by dark skin tones that they apply dark highlighters as well as bronzers to get attractive dusky tone. Therefore, you should feel proud of your beautiful dusky skin.

Here are the Colors of makeup products that suit dusky skin

Color of the foundation: A good foundation is the key to clever make-up for a dark complexioned woman. While selecting a foundation you can try a shade that is lighter than your natural skin tone. However, you should not choose a shade of foundation that is very light since it will look unnatural. Choose matt-finish make up as it will look great on your skin. Or you can also choose a creamy or liquid foundation, but one that is not oily. It’s always better to use a water based foundation. A sheer foundation and a good concealer are musts for creating the look of perfect skin. Remember that dark skins show up layers of make-up much more than fair skins. Special attention should be paid to blending. Always add a drop of water to the foundation before you apply it, may also help. Mix them on the back of your hand and apply it on your skin. Check the effect in daylight.

Color of the powder: Use a light baby powder after the foundation. This helps to give the skin sheen and is not too heavy. Avoid applying too much powder, especially around the eyes. Always dust off the excess powder.

Color of the blusher: For blushing bridal face, you should choose colors from coral, rose, and deep orange. Avoid browns and peachy shades for blush-on. For very dark skin, try a dark rose pink color for the day and shades of bronze, plum and wine for the night. Blend the blusher over the cheekbones, as it helps to brighten the skin tone. For special occasions at night, use a touch of gold. It can really look glamorous on dark skins. Apply it at the temples and under the outer corner of the eyebrows

Eye Makeup:

Dark skin tone looks great with dark purple and blue colors on eyes. Dark metallic colors also look good. Silver around your eye will make them stand out and look brilliant. Finish your eyes with black eyeliner and black mascara. If you wish to use eye shadow, avoid white or very light colors. A gold eye shadow would be complimentary where as silver one may not look good.

Highlighter:

Using highlighter can be very effective on dark skins when used on the bridge of the nose, around the eye area, above the cheek bones and just above the upper lip.

Color of the lipstick:

Choosing the right colors is important for your lipstick too. Choose lipsticks with the matte finish rather than frosted ones. Medium and dull shades would look best. Bright pinks and reds are an absolute. If you have dark lips, before applying lipstick, put some foundation and powder on your lips. Dark skin types can wear all of the wonderful dark lip colors such as blackberry, caramel and purples. They all compliment your lips and your bridal look will be graceful and radiant.

What Kind of Eye Contacts For Brown Skin?
hazel. You should get an amber color or a light brown.i’ve always thought the color purple looked glamorous on darker skin colors, like, purple eyeshadow, purple glitter eyeliner, etc. yeahh..it’s a little unrealistic, but it’s hella unique! i’ve never seen anyone with purple eyes, and i’d totally love to. you can also try like, a light brown, almost amber-ish. that would look pretty cool too, but if it’s too light, you might look like a cat. lol. a stormy gray is also cool too. like, that x-men girl, storm! haha. just a few suggestions from my wacky brain. (:should get some hazel or honey color contacts!

  6. btwirler7 says:

@JenniViZ Yeah, I’ve tried that, but I don’t understand the use of having it in several colors. They show up on my skin as the same color. Besides, I think the golden bronzer looks sooooo much nicer as a highlight than the shimmering pallete.

  7. JenniViZ says:

You use the shimmering palette as a highlight, that’s why I’m getting it, and everyone else who bought it used it as a highlight. :]

  8. MsCha1001 says:

Hi! Im really interested with the corrective concealer pallete. How was it? Is it creamy or flaky? Thank You.

  9. btwirler7 says:

@filbunk Really? I thought it had such a great, funky beat. And MLK’s voice can make anything sound better in my opinion. Oh well, I guess that’s what mute buttons are for. :-) Thanks for watching and commenting!

  19. sadxmd says:

    is it matte?

  20. btwirler7 says:

Thanks for your question! Unfortunately, I do not own MAC’s ricepaper, so I can’t accuately say. I looked for swatches of it online, and find that each person’s looks different, so I’m just going to tell you about it and hope that it will be helpful. It is a light to medium shade of yellow, and it is matte. It goes on easily, and it is very soft. As far as staying power, I find it depends on the primer, but that’s true for all of my shadows. CS’s Eye Poxy Eye Primer is better than UDPP.

  21. leidaluvsu says:

would you say buttercream is a dupe for ricepaper? if so how is the staying power?
