Does Food Really Cause Acne Breakouts?

Via www.dermtv.com – We love chocolate just like everyone else. But should we shy away from it because it causes acne? What about oily foods like pizza? Dr. Schultz will discuss the “forbidden” foods that supposedly cause acne and if there’s really any merit behind these accusations. Perhaps you’ll be eating chocolate again right after this episode… We can, however, say that for sure, consistent consumption of iodine and seaweeds and spinach can cause acne. Transcription Do the forbidden foods of acne really cause you to break out? The good news is that they don’t. Those forbidden foods that we’ve all heard about—chocolate, fried food, nuts, caffeine, colas, fried chicken, pizza, by and large do not cause people to break out with pimples. So, at this point in your life, if you haven’t seen a relationship between eating those foods one day and getting pimples the next day, then there’s probably no reason that you need to avoid them if you have acne.

How about going to a DOCTOR !You should go to see a doctor or go to visit men’s health forum. Are they white and itchy? Its hard to tell what you have. If it is you might be fungal in nature. Try buying some Lotrimin AF or Tinactin. Apply a pea size drop on your finger and rub it in that area. Make sure to keep it clean and as dry as possible. Make sure to wash good and dab it dry. If it its a fungal infection you should start seen some results after 3 days. Do this 3 times a day. After this it will become a little scaly. You might start to see a white film don’t panic its normal. Just keep it clean and apply the Ointment as normal. If no changes after 4 days might want to talk to a Dr.they arent pimples…..

Word of advice from multiple people that I know directly.

Non-organic milk tends to cause skin problems because of the RBST hormones that they feed the dairy cows.

Solution? Buy organic milk and non the “regular” stuff.

I have a very strong feeling that RBST will be linked to cancer within the next couple decades as well.

@1990nintendo This is my problem as well. It’s VERY hard to cut out dairy, but over the past few months by nearly eliminating all dairy I have not had a bad breakout. If I eat something that contains a small portion of dairy of any kind, I will have a mild breakout 2-3 days later. Like someone mentioned, there’s no money to me made for the small percentage of people who have a diet/acne correlation. So I’m not expecting any oral prescriptions or vitamins to help us in the near future.

OK. But you’re the only one I’ve ever known, who said, that food doesn’t cause acne. That means, you’re pretty much alone with your opinion. What’s the reason for you to break the rank? I’m sure there is one!

  13. 1elementskater1 says:

my skin is fucking awesome now, just eat fruits and get those nutrients you need and you can pig out on whatever the hell you want, nuitrients = skin living good and not clogging up and some junk food is fine as long as you have the nuitrients. my friend was helped alot by nuitrients

@1990nintendo How bout you go through school, study for like 6 years. Once you’ve
done that , then tell and prove to me that this doctor is a fool. Don’t tell a doctor he’s a fool unless you have a degree to.

  17. bigbitchification says:

I started eating junk food in moderation like a lil everyday to avoid a binge later thinking It was a great way of life with no deprivation; however, it has reeked havoc on my skin. I’m going to stop eating my lil portion of junk everyday, b/c all that’s been happening is new pimples surfacing.

  18. legzz187 says:

if there is a day i pig out on high sugar foods…. my skin definatly lets me know about it… diet does effect the skin… no doubt

  19. ripanrocks says:

The diet definitely has an effect on the overall functioning of all body parts….nothing can deny it.
Infact, if we eat very nutritious food & at the same time do all the external treatments, then it definitely the healing is much much faster.
