Skin Care Techniques – ‘Personal Skin Care’ Is A Practice

Everybody knows that ‘personal skin care’ has a great significance. Different people have various views regarding ‘personal skin care’. Some people are of the opinion that visiting beauty parlors every next day will give personal skin care. However, some think that only by applying a lotion or some cream on their skin frequently gives personal skin care. Also, it is mere an episode for some people that occurs either once in a month or a year. Yet others keep themselves engaged in ‘personal skin care’ every time.  However, taking the benefits of personal skin care into consideration you can see that it is neither that costly nor complicated. It is following a procedure or a routine to attend the needs that your skin requires.

Before you start the ‘personal skin care’ you need to know the type of skin that you have i.e. whether it is sensitive, dry, normal or an oily skin and then choose the skin care product based on the skin-type.  Initially, you have to experiment some skin care products. Given below is the routine for a person with normal skin-type.

The first step in the routine of personal skin care involves ‘Cleansing’. The main ingredients in a cleanser are wetting agents (surfactants), water and oil. Surfactant and oil draw oil and dirt from the skin and after that water flushes out, hence cleans your skin. But, you have to experiment some cleansers before you decide which one is best for your skin. You should prefer cleansers that are soap-free. Also, use warm water to cleanse your skin (cold and hot water might harm your skin). However, don’t cleanse your skin too hard otherwise it would damage the skin.

The second step in the routine of personal skin care includes exfoliation.  The skin undergoes a natural process in which it eradicates the dead skin cells and changes them with new cells.  Exfoliate is only a way that facilitates your skin in this procedure.  The dead skin cells don’t react to any kind of personal skin care thereby consuming the skin care products, thus, prevents them from undergoing new skin cells. So, it is very essential to eradicate the dead skin cells so as to use the skin care products effectively. Hence, after cleansing follows exfoliation.  It is important to know how mush exfoliation is required when you go for any kind of personal skin care. Exfoliate 1-2 times weekly for sensitive/dry skin and 4-5 times weekly for normal/oily skin. In humid and hot weather exfoliate for more time.

The next step in the routine of personal skin care involves moisturizers. This can be considered as one of the very significant processes of personal skin care. Yet an oily skin-type requires moisturizers. Moisturizers not only draw the moisture content from the skin cells, also intake moisture from atmosphere when required.  The excess use of moisturizers may blog the skin pores and results in damaging your skin. When you use moisturizer, within one week you will understand the amount of moisturizer that is required by the skin. It is better to apply the moisturizer when the skin is damp.

The last step in the routine of personal skin care involves sunscreen. Many moisturizers and day-time creams are available with dual benefits as they have both the moisturizing property and protection from UV radiation. Such type of moisturizers can be used in any time in any weather (cloudy or sunny).

Again try the different products in this type of skin care, also the quantity you want to use. The best result that you will get from is the best recipe for your personal skin care. In case of any skin disorders, it is advised to visit a dermatologist before applying any kind of products for personal skin care.

Has anyone tried the skin care product called “Therapeutix”? if so, did u like it? y or y not?
no i havent personally, but friend who tried it said it was really good, i’ve also read ‘reviews’ and comments, all positiveit doesn’t work for meno

Poor girl waited so long for her mom to finish at the tattoo parlor, she crapped her pants. And boy was it stinky.

great video! very informative. im gonna go out and get me some exfoliating and jojoba oil!

  2. music4life23871 says:

So, do you cleanse your face and then exfoliate it after your face is clean, twice a day? Or does your exfoliant act as a cleanser for the two times a day that you wash your face?

Hi, i live in london too, you can get the super city block at any clinique counter, so try, debenhams, boots ( the one on bond street) house of fraiser, john lewis, or any big department store. It isn’t really a female product as it is just sunblock. what i would suggest is to only use a small amount of the sunblock, you don’t need a lot, ( it’s tinted- not white) it spreads quite easily, and dries to a matte finish. Also, make sure you rub it in well. I hope this helps. :)

  4. massingstone says:

@princess32874 BTW I am a guy so am wondering if this is a female product? Please shed light on this.

  5. massingstone says:

@princess32874 Thanks for that. I will look into this. As a dark skinned person, I use two products for sunscreen. I am based in London, UK so I hope the product you mentioned is available if you are based elsewhere. I suppose the internet can solve this issue. Thank God for the net as I can buy online and then ship it. I use Natural Sunscreen by Mercola (SPF 50) which has Zinc Oxide & Tit. Dioxide & Banana Boat kids SPF 50. Mercola is too white and ashy for my skin so I mix the two. Thanks.

  6. princess32874 says:

@massingstone i would try clinique’s super city block, which is a sunscreen spf 45. The great thing about this product is, it doesnt leave your face looking too ashy if you just use a little ( i am more brown skinned, but i have friends who are dark skinned who use it, and they don’t look ashy either). Also, it acts as a primer as well, which is great for me because i have oily skin, so it is totally wearable with makeup. I hope this helps.

So I have bought all the products. Which is first – Cleanser pre shower/bath and then Exfoliating or vice versa. I know there after its cream and then Suncreen. How much cleanser and Exfoliating daily wash do you use? Sorry for the numerous posts on your videos and the many questions?

    Such a late response I no, sorry :-( .
I did make a video for you but it would not upload but in a way it was a good thing because I have completely changed my skin care routine. If you want to know what I used before let me know but for the pass week I have been using all Lush products and I am loving them ( although it is early days). I use herbalism to wash my face, tea tree water to tone, grease lightning on my spots and vanishing cream to cream my face ( this cream has no SPF so the only S

  14. TheNaprika says:

hmm i have been using sunscreen but it hasn’t got zinc oxide and it has really helped with the hyperpigmentation. My skin is a lot clearer and still use the ocm to cleanse my face and the odd face mask now and again. i look forward to your vid on sunscreens, feel i will learn a lot

  15. foxynerd101 says:

@massingstone LOL @ i will get arrested looking like a ghost. haha to funny. Sounds like u got a great sunscreen. Sadly the best sunscreens leave u lookin slightly ashy transparent ones i have found r not effective wen trying to beat pigmentation .. trick is dnt apply to much literally size of a tear drop and u can perhaps put some more moisturiser over it if u still look off grey make sure u rub it in properly atleast 15 minutes before u go out. Sunscreen video coming soon. I promise xx

  16. massingstone says:

Foxy, we all await your video on Sunscreens. I bought one with SPF 50, Zinc Oxide, Titanuim Oxide etc the two major ingredients but it leaves me looking like a ghost as it leaves your skin looking ashy and pale. Most sunscreens with such ingredients do? I need a transparent one as I am dark skinned and will get arrested looking like a ghost. Do u apply anything after you have put on your sunscreen? I suppose it would help if I applied it 15 mins before I left the house. Suncreen how often daily?

  17. massingstone says:

Hi Foxy, I hope your exams went well on friday. Thanks for emailing me privately. Interesting about your parents heritage. Anyway I’ll give your skin procedure a try and see what happens. I got the Jojoba oil, Mine’s in black bottle with 100% on it. I know they are many shops that do it in your part of town. Is the pure 100% one recommended? Also I check that website you gave me but still cant find a suncreen with SPF50, UVA & UVB with Zinc oxide. Please send me a link to such or recommend?Thx

  18. massingstone says:

Foxy, what are part of London are you from? I’m from East London? Where are your parents originally from? Just curious? Please email or PM some sunscreen brands – maybe 4 or 5 brands if you dont want to focus on one brand. Preferably sunscreens I can get in boots or Superdrug. Also does it matter about the level/stength 30, 50 etc. Thanks, Foxy.

  19. massingstone says:

Hi Foxy, I am still having issues regarding sunscreen. Do you recommend the ones from boots and superdrug? For those not in the UK, they are pharmacy shops in the UK. The only ones I can see with 50 strength are childrens ones. Are those ones okay for me as a grown dark skinned brother? Does it really matter about ingredients in sunscreen? Are their any I should avoid due to my black skin type? Does it matter if I opt for sunscreen lotion, cream, gel or spray? Thanks.

  20. foxynerd101 says:

@Goldenprincess86 aww thank u so much hun i appriciate it.. i mean if u cud let us kno sum of ur products.. id love to here..[sharing is caring lol] x

  21. Goldenprincess86 says:

    Hey Hunni.
Another video that has put a smile on my face. Your videos give me so much joke ( in a good way). We use different products but same routine and it does work.
I am loving the head band and it really suits you.
    Keep the videos coming. Xxx

  22. foxynerd101 says:

@massingstone Hey..well the The most important ingredient to look for in your sunscreen is ZINC OXIDE [ull neva find this in stores]. Zinc is what actually absorbs the sun’s rays before it goes into your skin, Titanium dioxide is good too
im gna do a video for this explainin EVERYTHING so no reccomendations here but go to drugstore. com they have suncreens with these ingredients . UVB protects ur skin from darkening UVA for aging

  23. massingstone says:

Hi Foxy Nerd, I live in London and I know by your accent you are British probably from the SE of England. Anyway as a guy with bad skin, I find your videos entertaining. You talk so fast – LOL. What Sunscreen do you recommend? I am dark skinned. Please also advise on brands as I dont understand the UBA and UBV protective stuff. You can private message me if you dont want to mention any brands on here publically. I am based in London. Thanks
