You didn’t say how long ago U went to vet and how long he said it would take. Don’t be afraid to call call vet.!!!I know this saga all too well. I currently have an english bulldog with the same issue. It’s not contagious so the other dogs need not worry. She has been on treatment for this for 2 months now and looks better but will still need another month before she is back to normal. She gets ivermectin daily and a anti-fungal pill x2 per day and we already did the anti-biotics. Another thing you can do is buy some Malaseb shampoo and bathe him/her 2 times per week. This helps. When I got her (from a rescue) I thought maybe I was allergic to her because I was itching and sneezing but it was just from her skin and I took claratin for about a month but have stopped and feel fine now. Her skin was bad though when we got her…but her hair is growing back now. I hope this helps and hope your dog gets better…it takes a while but works.It could be a staph infection, which is often caused by fleas. Once the fleas go away, the staph remains. It will take strong antibiotics, perhaps even a steroidal treatment, to help your dog. Please don’t irritate the spots even more by exposing him to extreme cold or hot; if you brush your dogs hair back and look at the skin underneath, the staph will have formed large spots, quarter size or so.
